I see that the debate that Thomas Wayment and I had over whether or not Paul addresses his wife in Philippi, has been put online. It has been out in print for over two months.
Professor Wayment is a friend, a gentleman, and a learned scholar of the New Testament. His opinions on such matters are always worth listening to. He just happens to be wrong on this particular issue. We are all allowed to be wrong occasionally. Given that we are mortal, we are probably wrong most of the time. Fortunately our salvation does not depend on us being right on most things, just a few crucial ones.

When It Rains It Pours
Today my article on the Apocryphal Acts of Jesus was published over on Interpreter, which is currently the most vibrant and active publication on LDS scripture. I am in good company since Interpreter has also published Noel Reynolds, Louis Midgley, Royal Skousen, Stephen Harper, David Bokovoy, John Sorenson, William Hamblin, John Tvedtnes, and George Mitton. So far it publishes an article a week and generates a new issue about once every three months. For a periodical, that is good steady work.
Wednesday I finally received my copy of Evolving Egypt, which Kerry Muhlestein and I edited and in which I have an article on Egyptian interpretations of their own religion.

Richard G, Wilkins (1952-2012)
I was saddened to hear that Richard G. Wilkins has passed away. He was a remarkably courageous person and a great legal advocate of the family in world law. He was responsible for extending an invitation for me to speak which resulted in one of my publications.
Go here for a speech he gave at BYU.
